So my cat, Jupiter, has been going crazy for plastic bags lately.  Like batshit, kick-himself-in-the-face, catnip crazy.  He licks them and rubs his face all over them and wrestles them and literally kicks himself in the jaw in the process.  He gets kinda paranoid when you approach him when he has a bag in the crouch-on-the-ground-with-eyes-and-pupils-super-wide kinda way.  He really acts like he does when he’s on catnip except it’s just plastic grocery bags.
He’s always kinda had a thing for bags and he’s been obsessing with them for a couple months but I’m not sure whether his recent urinary blockage mishap has caused him to go a bit extra bonkers.  Especially because he still really wants his dry food back but has to be kept on wet food so he gets enough fluids to flush his bladder.  He’s been super obsessed with trying to escape outside to eat plants (he’s an indoor cat) and he’s just been a bit crazier in general ever since we brought him home from the emergency vet.

Cat people, I am confused.  Help?

  1. punkhale answered: My cat is the same way. Plastic bags are like crack for him. I think he likes the noise it makes + the fact that it’s like a fort
